Guardian Rumour Mill

Mino Raiola, the cheeky so and so, is insisting on inserting a £44m (€50m) clause into Gianluigi Donnarumma’s new contract. The 18-year-old was set to sign a £77,000-a-week deal at Milan but the infamous agent is not playing nice. The Mill isn’t one for telling Milan’s suits to do their job, but £44m sounds cheap for the next big thing, especially if Jordan Pickford costs £30m. The Sunderland goalkeeper is coughing for the Everton doctor, who has flown out to England’s Under-21 camp in Poland.

On the red side of Merseyside, Liverpool have finally found some coin and are throwing it at Piotr Zielinski. Twenty-five million quid, to be exact, although that is well short of the Napoli midfielder’s £61m release clause. Tottenham are also said to be interested in the Polish international, just in case Barcelona swoop for Christian Eriksen.

Leicester City are set to offer Harry Maguire £80,000 a week in the hope it can convince him to leave Hull City, for a five-year contract worth more than £20m. That’s after paying a £17m transfer fee, too. Leicester were keen on West Brom’s Jonny Evans, and floated a £10m offer, but were apparently told to get lost.

We’re all set for another thrilling season in Scotland after Celtic had a £1.3m bid accepted for the only non-Celtic player to feature on the shortlist for PFA Scotland Player of the Year, Jonny Hayes. The Ireland international – who, fun fact, has 18 stitches in his arm after being bitten by a dog – helped Aberdeen to second place last season, scoring 11 times. Who knows, he might get a winners medal next year.

Emmanuel Adebayor is back, baby. That’s according to the Mirror, who report that Swansea are keen on doing some kind of swap deal for Bafétimbi Gomis. Why Swansea wouldn’t want to keep the Frenchman, who scored 21 goals in 33 games for Marseille last season on loan, is another story, but Adebayor is apparently keen for one more round of the Premier League. The Togo striker is with Basaksehir, and helped the Turkish club finish second to claim a Champions League spot. Tidy.

Remarkably, we’re staying with Basaksehir, who have another jewel in their ranks by the name of Cengiz Under. The 19-year-old signed from Altinordu for £600,000 only last summer but has since gone on to make his debut for Turkey, scoring twice in three appearances, including on Sunday against Kosovo. Manchester United and Tottenham are keen but Lille appear to be in the driving seat for a player now thought to be worth £13m. “Several clubs have been scouting Cengiz,” said Basaksehir vice-president Mustafa Saral. “Lille have held direct talks with us, we have held talks with a few teams that have been mentioned. Our response has been the same, it is an honour to receive so much interest but we feel it is in his best interests to spend one more season here and then leave.”

West Ham offer Enner Valencia to Porto

West Ham United offer Enner Valencia to Porto for £7 million, according to reports.

Shane Callaghan

A Bola have reported that Porto might be interested in signing Enner Valencia from West Ham United this summer after being offered the South American.

The Ecuador forward, a £12 million signing three years ago, has struggled to scale the heights expected of him in the Premier League.

Two average seasons at West Ham, comprising of eight goals in total, saw him loaned out to Everton last season, but the 27-year-old started only five league outings under manager Ronald Koeman, who declined a permanent move.

And now it seems like a three-year struggle in England's top flight could come to an end, if reports from Portugal are accurate.

According to A Bola, the Irons have offered him to the Portuguese giants for a fee in the region of £7 million, which would represent a £5 million loss if he goes for that amount.

West Ham fans would be delighted to see him leave the East London once and for all after his struggles, despite an initially-promising start to life at the club.

He netted four goals in his first eight Premier League games - a cautionary tale for anybody Slaven Bilic signs this summer who gets off to a fine start.

Arsene Wenger unwilling to sign Henry Onyekuru this summer; would prefer 2018 deal

Arsenal and West Ham United have both been linked with the young

According to a report from Voetbal24.be, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger likes what he sees of Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru but has no intention of bidding for him this summer.

The Frenchman would preferably like to wait and take the 20-year-old in 2018, when he has seen what the young Nigerian can do over a longer period of time.

The problem for the Gunners is that according to a recent report from Own Goal Nigeria, West Ham United are fighting hard for the forward and have made an improved £9million bid in an attempt to seal a deal.

For that kind of money, and given that Onyekuru scored 24 goals and provided nine assists in 41 appearances for Eupen last season, he clearly has the talent to be a canny addition for a number of Premier League clubs.

However, it seems Arsenal are not prepared to jump in now, even if they could blow the Hammers out of the water and secure one of the most exciting young forwards in European football.

Arsenal need to make the right additions this summer to build on yet another FA Cup triumph and ensure their slip out of the top four was merely a blip.

As for West Ham, they are desperate for additional fire-power and Onyekuru fits the bill as a cut-price signing whose value is only likely to increase in the years ahead.

If West Ham seal a deal and Onyekuru hits the ground running, Arsenal fans will have another reason to bemoan Wenger's transfer tactics.

Batshuayi set for crunch talks

Michy Batshuayi is set for crunch talks with Chelsea in the coming days according to reports which say he wants assurances over his future after struggling to make enough first team starts in his first season.

Diego Costa has already been told he has no future at the club by Antonio Conte and is expected to be replaced Romelu Lukaku.

Batshuayi is said to be happy to compete with Lukaku for a first team place, but wants assurances that Conte won’t leave him locked out of the team for another season. A lack of first-team opportunities means he could be dropped by his national team ahead of the World Cup.

West Ham are willing to break the bank to sign Batshuayi permanently but Chelsea are said to be only willing to consider a season loan deal instead. Chelsea are insisting they won’t conclude any deal for Batshuayi until they find a replacement for Costa so this is another deal that has stalled at the moment.

Valencia leaving West Ham could give Bilic chance to land former player

By Sport Witness

Besiktas are considering signing West Ham United’s Enner Valencia, report AMKSpor.

The forward looks surplus to requirements at West Ham, and he could leave the Hammers this summer. The player spent last season on loan with Everton, and he doesn’t seem to be in the long term plans of Slaven Bilic.

Besiktas are looking at the possibility of signing Valencia, with the West Ham player emerging as a prime target for them. The Besiktas board are looking for a favour from their former manager Bilic, and the Turkish side’s president Fikret Orman believes the Croatian could be key in landing the Ecuador international.

The Turkish giant’s interest in Valencia could open up the possibility for West Ham to sign Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Earlier this week we covered reports West Ham were looking to sign Ozyakup this summer, and that Bilic wanted to be reunited with the player, following their time together at Besiktas.

Ozyakup is stalling on extending his contract with Besikatas, with reports he could be interested in a move to West Ham. His club aren’t keen to sell in the next window, but with just 12 months left on his contract, and the prospect of signing Valencia, a deal is still a possibility.
